Poetry by Me
The poetry scene in South Africa is drastically increasing in size with a lot of poets including female poets such as myself, voicing out. I share my poems not for recognition but to liberate myself and hopefully touch others through the poetic translation of my life. This year I will be supporting the poetry community by sharing my work with other poets, readers, writers.
This year I will also be keeping you up to date with poetry sessions, poetry events and loads of poetry related topics. My poems will now be introduced in categories to make it easier to read and navigate.
The words strung together in poetic expression is a reflection of my personality and experience, every piece of writing is personal with a story behind it. The process of online distribution of my thoughts and feelings has been a most rewarding adventure and I hope that it will never end. My apprehension in the beginning was vastly apparent in my refusal to share, however, the creation of this blog has been undoubtedly therapeutic and I encourage all poet recluses to make an exit from the dark corners and voice themselves wholeheartedly.
Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
A note: Muddled emotions, strung together inelegantly to entertain the slumbering imagination or penetrate the well walled walls of ignorance – either way the proof is in what the reader makes of it
